Timeless - by Felix Purat is my outlet for both fiction, nonfiction and all other types of writing that interest me. While I managed to persuade a few stubborn gatekeepers named Klamm to publish bits of writing here and there over the years, simply pondering the straight jacket of restrictions was more exasperating than the writing process itself. It is here that I aim to finally set all my artistry, ruminations and ideas loose.

All while maintaining orbit around the central philosophical premise of this newsletter: that which is timeless and eternal. That which lives beyond the faddish moments dominating every second of our supposedly-time-saved existence. Terms like mainstream and underground are fine in the moment, but beyond that? Timeless understands the need of a lot of the artistic world to be liberated by the chaotic, fast-paced constraints that make it difficult for many of us to get a solid grounding. A grounding our ancestors took for granted.

I stand corrected: on Timeless I will let loose almost all my artistry. The Internet deserves mega kudos for making this newsletter possible. But my loyalty to the physical book format will never perish. On one hand, you should certainly subscribe if you want writing as interesting and profoundly artistic as it is riveting. (which I can assure you, it will be!) If Timeless doesn’t give the type of culture fix one expects from a glass of real Swiss absinthe from the Val-de-Travers, then I’m not doing my job. (it is worth noting that this is, indeed, a job and not a hobby)

You should, on the other hand, also subscribe if you are a bookworm in even the mildest sense as Timeless is also my outlet for news pertaining to my publishing press, Swamp Rat Books. My first novel, Calm Before an Earthquake, will be published in June. Subscribe if you want to receive notifications. But not to worry, lads and lassies, June is only the beginning: there’s a lot more where that novel came from! Some of which you will encounter here, especially if you choose to be a Founding Member.

I invite you to peruse all subscription options to see what literary treasures appeal to your inner buccaneer. And then tell everyone you know, since unlike Captain Kidd I am happy to share my treasure. I also deeply appreciate those who share my publications on whichever social media platform they like to frequent.

Some of the topics one can expect to find on Timeless include: articles and essays on culture in depth, short stories, feuilletons, poems, world literature recommendations, reflections on contemporary literary news, travel ruminations, art reviews, music reviews, book reviews, history articles, softcore conceptual literary stuff, hardcore conceptual literary stuff, philosophical ruminations on the Socratic level, obscure but important chapters of history, Slavophilia and the occasional geopolitical observation, film review and serialized novels.
