Malá Kateřina and The Game of Marriage (The Bo Lan Mysteries #3)
Knights of the Order of Cosmopolitania Cycle 1, Series 1, Story 3
One day, of course, should the winds blow a certain way, the Bo Lan Mysteries will be compiled in book form. The order will be straightened out, but for now I don’t know if this one or the subsequent #4 will come first. For now, they should be treated as interchangeable. Any thoughts on that when #4 comes out will be most welcome.
Also I have changed the name of this newsletter so as to accommodate future serializations in one place. More practical that way. Now that I’m feeling more confident about the direction of the Bo Lan Mysteries, I can start my next serialization in September. The beauty of serialization as a tool for the writer is becoming more and more apparent: it’s one of the few surefire ways to make sure one actually completes a few novels. Give it a year or two and I’ll have a prolific year of book publishing!
“Foolish soldiers!” shrieked Kateřina at the alleyway shadows as if they had spoken to her. “Nobody can take this city from me. It’s my home. To je moje! I don’t serve you, you serve me!”
She knew the cameras were watching her from secret places. But she also knew they didn’t care what a little girl like her said.
A moment later, Vlastimil joined her. Together, they were the oldest kids: Kateřina was nine and Vlastimil was ten. Her eyes glimmered as her speedy chlapák ran up to embrace her.
